Basigi leaves Hasaacas after 21 years

Hasaacas Ladies can confirm highly decorated women’s coach Yussif Basigi has left the club to pursue a new adventure outside the Ghana Women’s Premier League.

Basigi worked for Hasaacas for 21 years winning five league titles with the Hasmal Ladies during his spell in charge.

He also guided to the team to a historic treble in 2021 where they won the Women’s FA Cup and WAFU B Champions League Qualifiers in addition to the league.

The 52-year-old was named the Women Coach of the Year during the 2024 Ghana Football Awards earlier this year.

Basigi has now joined Tanzanian giants Simba Queens.

Hasaacas Ladies would like to wish Basigi all the best in his new adventure.

The is working on a replacement and will announce once a decision is made.
