Hasaacas Ladies claimed three awards at the recently held Ghana Football Awards last weekend.
The Ghana Women’s Premier League through individuals and the team, received five nominations overall, however, they were unable to win three of those.
Head coach Yussif Basigi, forward Mukarama Abdulai and the club were recipient of caetgories they were nominated for.
Having enjoyed a brilliant year with both Hasaacas Ladies and the Black Princesses, Basigi was named the Women’s Coach of the Yaer for 2024.
He led the Hasmal Ladies to reclaiming the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League title while also winning African Games gold with the Women’s U-20 National Team. Basigi also went the whole year unbeaten with the Princesses.
Mukarama also beat stiff competition win the home-based Footballer of the Year for the female category.
Her 12 goals in the league steered Hasaacas Ladies to the league this season having missed out on the title in the last two seasons to Ampem Darkoa Ladies. The budding forward also scored three goals en route to the Black Princesses wining gold at the African Games.
At the end of the day, Hasaacas Ladies were also rewarded for the good campaign they had in the 2023/24 season.
The Sekondi-based side won the Female Team of the Year award beating the Black Princesses, Army Ladies and Ampem Darkoa Ladies to the prestigious award.
