Hasaacas Ladies beat AS Garde but exit Champions League qualifiers

Hasaacas Ladies missed out a spot in the semifinal of the WAFU B Women’s Champions League despite their win on Saturday.

The Ghanaian champions claimed an emphatic win over Niger’s AS Garde National, winning by six goals to one.

A brace from Comfort Owusu and Grace Animah coupled with goals from Fatoumata Tamboura and Abigail Sakyiwaa.

Having scored 3 goals in the opening 30 minutes, Hasaacas conceded before the break before going to score another 3 in the second half.

Despite the win, Hasaacas Ladies failed to make it out of the group stage missing out on a possible ticket to play in a second CAF Women’s Champions League.

The Takoradi-based side finished with same points as second-placed Omnisports Etincelle with the latter boasting a better goal differential.
