The 2023/24 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League season is set to commence this weekend as we play as guest to topflight newbies, Sea Lions Football Club.

Sea Lions, a familiar side we have met five times with three wins, one loss and a draw are returning into the premier league after spending two seasons in the division one league.

After our failure to clinch any title in previous season, the entire technical team and players are poised to make a significant difference this season especially in the premier league despite coming up with a group of budding talents.

In a quest to win our 5th premier league tittle, coach Yussif Basigi will be looking forward to test his team’s strength by blending the youngsters with experienced and create a telepathy between them.

The likes of Mukarama Abdulai, Vera Afful, and Veronica Kuma showed glimpses of what should be expected from them in the Women’s Premier Super Cup.

Grace Banwaa, Yakubu Fidous, Abiba Issah and other experienced players will be available for selection.
