The donation was presented to the team on Wednesday at Oak Plaza by the Vice President’s Head of Communicarions, Tamimu Issah, who also delivered a special message of encouragement from Dr. Bawumia to the team.

“His excellency saw the public appeal…he responded positively and supported them with some money that cushioned them to support in that competition,” Tamimu said.
“He’s remained committed to supporting women’s football and Ghanaian female champions…he did same to Ampem Darkoa Ladies and this year Hasaacas have qualified again.
“He congratulated them publicly for winning the league and qualifying once again to the championship and said he was looking forward to meeting them ahead of competition in Côte d’Ivoire.
“We are supporting them with $10,000 to cushion them for the championship.”
Hasaacas Ladies played out a goalless draw with Burkina Faso’s Omnisports Etincelle in their opening game on Sunday, August 11.
